I have had many experiences with rental properties over my lifetime and this is BY FAR THE WORST!! We moved into this house as we were PCSing during a military move from Texas and we were relying on the pictures from the website to be an accurate depiction of what the home looked like. Boy were we WRONG!! MAYMONT HOMES completely took advantage of the fact that we were not able to do a thorough inspection of the home and decided to allow us to rent a property that doesn't seem like it had been lived in or MAINTAINED IN YEARS!! The pictures and the virtual walk thru of the house was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like the actual house!! It should be illegal to post such outdated pictures and fabricate the condition and state of homes that people are trying to rent!! Since the day we moved in we have had work order after work order sent in!! The things that we have had to address SHOULD NEVER HAVE even been an existing issue!! This house was in NO WAY acceptable to be put up for rent! As we are in a 15 month lease due to all the issues that we STILL UNDERGO... We have asked to have our lease shortened. Not to get out.. Not to terminate the lease.. But to simply consider all the unforseen issues and inconviences that our family has had to encounter and to make a MODIFICATION!! NOPE!! They won't even do that!! MAYMONT HOMES IS TRASH AND THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT COLLECTING RENT!! If I could give them a NEGATIVE 10 I WOULD!!!!

I would strongly caution anyone considering renting from Maymont Homes to think twice before signing a lease. What I’ve watched my friend and his family go through has been absolutely unacceptable, especially considering they are a military family paying roughly $2,400 every single month to live in the home. Now they’re apparently being told they may have to come out of their own pocket for basic maintenance issues on a property they don’t even own! At $2,400 a month, you would think BASIC maintenance and reasonable support from the property management company would be the BARE MINIMUM. Instead, they’re being put in a position where they have to worry about additional expenses just to have issues with the rental addressed. Military families already deal with enough like PCS moves, deployments, time away from family, and constantly having to establish themselves in new communities. The last thing they should have to worry about is whether the company collecting nearly $29,000 a year in rent is going to nickel-and-dime them when something in the home needs attention. Watching how this situation has been handled would personally make me extremely hesitant to ever rent from Maymont Homes. If this is how tenants can expect to be treated after signing the lease and paying thousands of dollars every month, prospective renters deserve to know that before handing over their money.

I have been renting through Maymont for almost a year. One of their employees, Natalie Medd, is the best employee I have ever interacted with regarding a rental property. Without fail, she responds promptly to any issue I have; ensures my issue is handled immediately; and troubleshoots / diagnoses a solution whenever things are at an impasse. She has single-handedly helped me / my wife multiple times and I cannot speak highly enough about her.

Stay away from Maymont Homes. My friend pays $2,400 a month and is being told he needs to pay out of pocket for basic maintenance requests. If you’re charging that much for rent, the least you can do is properly maintain the property. Very disappointing experience.

Maymont Homes has really let my friend down. Paying $2,400 a month should come with the expectation that basic maintenance issues will be handled without residents being stuck with the bill. The way this situation has been handled is extremely disappointing.

I honestly can’t believe the way Maymont Homes is treating my friend. He’s paying $2,400 every month for his home, yet he’s being told he may have to cover basic maintenance issues himself. That’s unacceptable for someone paying that much in rent. I’d seriously think twice before renting from this company. I would give zero stars if I could. Also i dont want to be that guy but I know of white residents not paying these fees, seems kinda weird charging people of ethnic this type of fixes that don’t fall on the responsibility of the renter.
