Move-Out Guide
Everything you need for a smooth transition when moving out of your Maymont home.
Important: Most leases require 60 days notice. Shorter notice may result in early termination fees.
Move-Out Timeline
Follow this timeline to ensure a smooth move-out process
Submit Notice to Vacate
Provide your intended move-out date and forwarding address through the online form.
Schedule Pre-Move-Out Inspection
Contact customer service to schedule an in-person walkthrough of your home.
Complete Self-Inspection
Receive and complete digital self-inspection link (optional but encouraged).
Return All Keys
Return all keys, remotes, and access cards to lockbox by noon. Re-entry is not permitted after return.
Receive Deposit Accounting
Statement of Deposit Accounting (SODA) sent to your forwarding address per state law.
Items to Return
All items must be returned to the lockbox by noon on your move-out day.

- Access cards/fobs
- Mailbox keys
- Gate remotes
Cleaning Checklist
Leave the home in clean condition to maximize your deposit refund.
Kitchen
Clean appliances inside and out, wipe cabinets, clean sink and counters
Bathrooms
Clean toilet, tub/shower, sink, mirrors, and cabinets
Floors
Vacuum carpets, mop hard floors, clean baseboards
Walls
Remove nails, patch small holes, clean marks and scuffs
Windows
Clean interior glass, wipe tracks and sills
Exterior
Remove trash, clean patio/deck, mow lawn if applicable
Security Deposit Refund
Your Statement of Deposit Accounting (SODA) will be sent to your forwarding address. Refund timing follows state-specific deposit return laws.
Common Deductions
- Damage beyond normal wear and tear
- Unpaid rent or utility balances
- Cleaning fees if not left in clean condition
- Unreturned keys or access devices
Utility Disconnection
SimpleBills Homes
You'll receive an estimated final statement before move-out. Settle your balance before leaving.
Independent Utilities
Contact providers directly to schedule disconnection. Utilities must remain active through move-out day.
