Move-In Guide

Everything you need to know to prepare for your move-in day and get settled in your new Maymont home.

Before Move-In Day

Complete these steps before your scheduled move-in date

Complete Lease & Payments

Sign your lease and submit all required payments including security deposit and first month's rent.

  • Flexible payment options available through Flex and Rhino programs
  • Piñata rewards available for on-time payments

Submit Renters Insurance

Provide proof of coverage before your move-in date.

  • Minimum $200,000 personal liability coverage required
  • List BSFR Property Management LLC as additional interested party
  • Auto-enrollment in Master Policy ($17.95/mo) if not submitted

Complete Pet Screening

Required for all residents, even those without pets.

  • Complete screening at maymonthomes.petscreening.com
  • Document all pets with photos and vaccination records

Set Up Utilities

Set up your utilities before move-in. Many homes use SimpleBills, though some markets set up utilities directly with local providers.

  • Watch for a welcome email if your home uses SimpleBills
  • Utilities must be active by move-in day

Move-In Day & After

What to expect on your move-in day and your first 72 hours

Access Your Home

Receive access instructions by 10 AM ET on move-in day.

  • Email includes lockbox location and 4-digit code for physical keys
  • Smart lock users receive separate 5-digit access code via Rently

Complete Move-In Inspection

Document the home's condition within 72 hours.

  • Complete digital inspection via emailed link
  • Take photos of any existing damage or issues
  • Download final report for your records

Rent Due Date

Rent is due on the 1st of each month. Late fees apply after the 5th.

Resident Portal

Set up your portal access for rent payments and account management.

Optional Services

Explore washer/dryer rentals and lawn care services available to residents.

Maintenance

Submit non-emergency requests through the Resident Portal anytime.
