Cleaning Requirements
Leave your home clean and empty to avoid cleaning charges against your security deposit. Use this room-by-room checklist.

Kitchen
Clean all surfaces, appliances, and storage.
- Wipe down counters, cabinets, and drawers inside and out
- Clean the oven, stovetop, microwave, and refrigerator
- Empty and wipe the dishwasher

Bathrooms
Sanitize all fixtures and surfaces.
- Scrub the toilet, tub, shower, and sink
- Clean mirrors, counters, and cabinets
- Remove any personal items and trash

Living Areas & Bedrooms
Clean floors, walls, and fixtures throughout.
- Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors
- Wipe baseboards, switches, and vents
- Remove nails and patch small wall holes if your lease requires

Final Steps
Handle trash, exterior, and a final walkthrough.
- Remove all trash and personal belongings
- Mow the lawn and clear the yard if applicable
- Do a final walkthrough and take date-stamped photos
Why It Matters
Normal wear and tear is expected and won't be charged, but cleaning costs and damage beyond normal wear may be deducted from your deposit. A thorough clean protects your refund.
